Well, tomorrow at 6 AM is the big day, I suppose I will not get much sleep tonight. Its after 9:30PM and my partner isnt here yet so I dont suppose we will get to bed by 11PM-12AM. Have to be up at about 4 AM to get to the ramp and check in and make the meeting. Last I heard there were about 50 boats entered, its a team tournament, 6 fish 12" or better. Most are 5 but for some reason this one is 6. Weigh in is at 4PM. Wish me luck, Ill post tomorrow evening.

Well, it was a bust basically, we had a good stringer doing and had the fish figured out somewhat, we had our limit and started culling before noon. Then it happened.

The cable to the trolling motor broke. Brand new last week. So, that fixed it for us. It was quite windy in the afternoon so it was imposable to fish our pattern. Oh well, life goes on. Winning weight was over 25#s.

Tough break, it sounds like you guys were on your way to a competitive day. This must be the week for trolling motor problems. The prop spun off mine this week half way through an outing with one of the guys from work. From that point on we could only fish shoreline that was parallel to wind direction. Problem was, wind direction was changing every ten minutes. So we spent the rest of the day with the paddle out bouncing off docks and boathouses.

Better luck next time.

To be perfectly honest, I made a big mistake fishing this with a person I only knew for a short time and only fished with for one weekend in my boat. Actually we had a "HUGE" difference in fishing styles, and for the first five hours it was his way or the highway. We got into guite an argument eventually. Had he listened to me, (and I mean why not, Its MY front yard), I can guarantee that we would have had our limit in two hours or less. I really dont want to say any more about it.

I knew it would take a huge weight to win, can you imagine a 25.5 # stinger in 6 fish here in the Northwest where we only have Northern strain Bass? Thats Huge!!!!!!
