That I've been able to log in. Before then it was hit or miss, and I've been unable to log in at all since that last post on 7/20. Tony at Tech Support tried to help one day but he couldn't find anything. So, what changed? Today we switched from Cablevision to Verizon FIOS as our service provider and I was able to log on first try.

Will it last? No idea. For the record, I've been running Windows 8.1 and Firefox since long before iboats made their website changes... the problem hasn't been with me or my laptop

I've found that clearing my PC's cache and history makes a huge difference in usability of the forums.

I think we tried clearing cache and had no luck. I'm not sure why your internet connection would matter when logging into our forums, but hopefully you are able to easily log in from here on out. If you have issues again, send me another email and we can check it out further.

Well, today is the first time I've been able to log in since I started this latest thread on 8/25. I still try from time to time. Once again, not a single thing has changed at my end aside from the change of ISP when I wrote the last note. I'll try clearing cache and history next time it happens, but let's say I'm not very hopeful it'll work.

Just out of curiosity (and since I'm never sure I'll be able to return here), has iboats looked at the number of active posters both before and after the website upgrade? I wonder how many others have been unable to return.

If I ever get the urge to start over, I may ask Tony to clear all evidence of my iboats existence and start over with a new username and password. I can't help but think there's some residual issue with my old login and settings somewhere at the route of this. With 7 years of history and nearly 4,000 posts I hate to give it up, but I'll think about it
