Yesterday my friend and I took my new to me 1989 invader V210 cuddy cabin out for the first time. The boat is in like new condition equipped with a 5.7L 260HP Bravo 2 2:1 ratio (not sure why) and a a custom cupped 25P prop. It has been tuned and runs perfect, The boat jumps up on plane effortlessly with out even opening the secondaries and cruised very nice between 2500 2800 rpm at about 25mph. I only ran it for a few moments at WOT and hit better than 45 MPH (GPS on Phone) but my rpms were only at 4000 - 4100. I did not play with trim to see if it brought the RPM up. It is my understanding that this motor should have a WOT closer 4500 RPMs. Bravo 2 Props are way expensive so it is kind of tough to fine tune at $500 a prop. My question will it hurt anything the way it is or do I be looking to spend $$$ on a 23 or 21 pitch to raise RPM.
