Predicting 6-12" for Long Island starting early Saturday morning. Got the little Toro ready for the winter a month ago and dragged it out again yesterday. Started first pull, so I guess I'm ready.

I should have been in Florida a few weeks ago, but my son screwed his ankle up bad playing ice hockey. Surgery today so had to stick around and see him through it. Hopefully I'll be able to cut out of here late next week.

Hope your son is OK, JoLin,

Glad to be here, rather then there.... But for WV, not up a mountain, we're getting plenty enough to be just short of a real problem...

Hip deep storm today. Top 5 snowfall for our town on record. Right about now I really miss my son who is away at school.....and his shovel.

I am exhausted ... should have started LAST night ... at 10 there was about 4 or 5 inches. When the dog needed to go out at 11:30 there was about a foot. At 6:30 this morning when I left the house there was 22 inches! Plow solenoid burned out ... had some snow blower repairs ... till the snow stopped our 4-8 inches had become 24-30 inches. Got more to clean up tomorrow ... it was more than what was hyped in our area ...

A miserable day, alright. Took the Toro out 3 times today and I'll still have a mess to deal with tomorrow morning. It's been drifting something awful, and being out in that wind was just exhausting. Looks like our 6-12", then 12-18"... will top out at 2', maybe a bit more. I'm running out of places to put it. I have a huge driveway and paved 'apron' outside the back door. The Toro's a great little machine but it'll only loft the snow so high.

Not looking forward to tomorrow at all- I have to get this place workable by the end of the weekend.
