It has been a frustrating week vehicle wise. I had the clutch release mechanism go in my '77 Sportster. Thankfully it happened in my driveway. Put the new mechanism in and I will be darned if I can get the thing right, so off to a friend it went. This morning pulled the lawn tractor out to mow the lawn at the lake. She fired right up, BUT she had a bad flat I could not fix. Off to the shop with that one. Next project was going to be rebuilding the carb on my wife's '85 Suzuki LT 185 Quad Runner. Got everything apart and found out they sent me the wrong rebuild kit. All this while it is sunny and 80 out.

It was time to try the boat. Had her in the garage and on a trickle charger all winter. I had recently drained the 50:1 gas from my snowmobiles and that is what into the boat gas tank. I put the muffs on, got a good seal turned on the hose. I walked around, hit the key, gave her a little choke and she fired right up! Gotta love my 68 Merc 650. We put her in the water and suddenly I was the king of my little lake for an hour or so. Took her back out a few minutes ago and all the other mechanical troubles of the week have somehow vanished.

Hope everyone is having the same luck today as I.....Joe
