Just thought I’d share some pictures of my first boat and see if anyone knows anything about them. To be honest, information from Bayliner has been difficult to find. I don’t know if this model was a special edition or limited edition or something, but it’s not on their website with the rest of the 2001 manuals and literature.

Nonetheless, it’s 19’3”, super clean vinyl, the hull has a scratch or two and some oxidation that I’ve been buffing out. Hope to get the gel coat back to beautiful over the winter. Only 140 hours on the motor, and it shows. It’s very clean. It has the Mercruiser 4.3 L Alpha One. I’m in the process of adding a depth sounder as some of our lakes in Central Ohio are more shallow than is desirable. We’ve had it out twice and it ran flawlessly. Barely any water in the bilge. And it just seems like a boat I can learn on and my family can enjoy.

Didn’t necessarily want a Cuddy cabin, but so far we find it useful for holding skis, a wakeboard and knee board. And with our toddler, it’s a nice place for her to take a nap and get out of the sun.

Anybody know anything about this model? Have any comments? I’ve always liked the look of Bayliners but didn’t know their history or reputation. Sounds like they fixed most of their issues by 2001, so I’m hoping I got a good boat.

Really enjoy looking through these boards and learning everything I can from some many people with decades of knowledge!

Welcome aboard.

Bayliner is pretty much a budget boat. BUT, not necessarily a bad boat. Mine is roughly the bowrider model of yours, just a little newer. I've been really happy with it. If in good shape, you can keep 'em up and make them go for a long time.

Bayliner is actually pretty responsive. Check their website out and see if you can find any model information - or you can email them directly. There won't be a "manual" for the boat. That's not the way things typically go with boats. So if you have particular questions you're probably best off asking them here on the forums.
