I can get a 17' 1986 Ranger W/O Motor and with custom trailer for $350. The guy took the motor off of this boat and put it on a much newer boat. It looks pretty good and has a new casting platform and new carpet. Everything works and is solid but it doesn't come with fish finder, just trolling motor. Is it worth the investment to pick up a used outboard? I'm not in a huge hurry to build this boat so if it takes a year to find a motor then so be it. Any opinions?
