New USCG regulation starting in April and question is which would might be better a Mono-ammonium phosphate filled type or bicarbonate filled type?Type B
Not that I'm planning to have a fire, but I was wondering if there is much difference between the two types during clean up afterwards. I also see extinguishers need to be replaced after 12 years. This is what I use on my boat.

the purpose of the fire extinquisher on a boat is to give you just enough time to get the PFD's on and get in the water prior to the fuel exploding. cleanup is usually not a concernNot that I'm planning to have a fire, but I was wondering if there is much difference between the two types during clean up afterwards. I also see extinguishers need to be replaced after 12 years.
Thank you for the reply.
The extinguishers will stored on our houseboat and just thinking ahead just in case. Thank YouThis is what I use on my boat.
