I'm waiting for the final verdict from my mech but based his initial findings of water in the oil crankcase it looks like I'll be in the market for a replacement head. What does everyone reccomend as far as new vs used? Also does anyone have a recommendation for any online sites that sell quality marine parts where I could pick up a head?

I've got a 1993 4.3 V6

Re: finding a head

I am not sure where you are located, but I just swapped out my 351 heads. Try Dover Cylinder Heads in Atlanta, Georgia 404-768-1825

I just dropped off my old ones and they handed me 2 remanufactured ones ready to go for $225.

Good Luck
