Re: Finally

Frank,

Does that trailer have the wierd European rotating tongue thing? Easy ladies . . . :D I have never seen that tongue setup in the states and I am sure others here would be interested in a picture of that thing.

Re: Finally

Yes Quietcat, the tongue can rotate and when pushed (car braking) it operates the brakes. Will get you a picture today.

Bondo, here in Europe sometimes we can get the most fascinating ideas. Suppose you flip the thing over....you still have those auxilliaries (the top ones) :D . Those at the back are supposed to steer the bow softly in the right position (is this still about boating?). Still more tricks...in front is a hatch and when pulled it will tip the lot backwards.......have to make a dry-run one of these days....tell you guys all about what went wrong, promise :D :D

Re: Finally

BRILLIANT! A trailer that can be towed upside-down when necessary. What'll they think of next?! Us arrogant Americans need to learn to think outside the box like you folks a little more....

I love it. Thanx for the pics.

Re: Finally

Thanks for the pics, Frank. That is exactly what I was talking about. We have similar braking here, we call them surge brakes. Our tongues are fixed though (the ones on our trailers, not the ones in our mouths).

Oh, Crazy-one,

That tongue would allow you to tow it upside down with out disconnecting, so you have to have those tires on there . . . :D

Re: Finally

If you hit the right pothole while twitching the steering wheel I bet you could "flip on the fly." That'd be too cool! It could be construed as a safety feature for towing empty trailers in a tornado or hurricane. Doesn't matter if it get's tossed around a bit...
