Finally bought me a boat

after about 5 years of looking i finally picked myself of a pretty decent boat





She is a 98 tahoe Q5 with a 4.3, paid only 5 for it, got it out on the water for the 1st time today and she ran like a beauty
needs a couple things like a blower, the sunpad is pretty beat up
all it all for what i paid it is a solid boat and i am looking forward to getting her out on the weekend for a good run

thanks, ya she topped out at 45mph today with a good chop on my 4 blade 21p prop, think i may get a 23p ss 3 blade for when i want more top end

i am so looking forward to this weekend and giving her a good run want to see if i need a 2nd mortgage for fuel like my buddy does with his 19ft celebrity with a 305
tomorrow i actually plan on cleaning her up and replacing the blower i will post some more pics when i am done cleaning it up

actually i need to fix the frame, a screw fell out today while we were bouncing over the waves

in ontario to operate a pleasure craft of any kind you much have a licence that requires a course and a test

im new to owning not new to boating, we have had boats in our family for as long as i can remember, actually part of the reason i wanted one was so that i could do some of the things with my son that i did with my dad as a kid
best memories were always in the boat
altho his was totally different from what i bought, he had a 18ft ski boat with a 115 outboard

i tried to find a nice example of one but sportcraft made some ****ty products back then

Just need to open the hatch before starting. But i plan to put the new one on tmo. Didnt want to actually put money into it till i knew for a fact i was keeping it

Also what is the best way to replace the plug base plate. It currently has a plastic base plate that has a unusual size plug that i cant find. So i bought a brass one. Im just wondering how you reseal it and fill the old screw holes
