Finally another run on the Ohio River!

After getting this boat ( which I still Love)!
I have replaces the Shift cable and installed new timing gears ( by hand no mechanic)..
Boat is running great and ready for the water. It's dirty and needs some TLC, but I just can't resist the urge to make a splash and float in the water one moe time (maybe two).
It has a name.."Far Far Away"
and that is what it does...Take me "Far Far Away"
So anyone who is thinking or wondering if they should get a boat, DO IT. YOu will understand the feel of freedom. Yes there will be issues small ones and bigger ones, but the small stuff far outways the frustration, anger and or hopelessness that one may feel during down time.
Keep a level head and keep the horizon in sight. Happiness can only be found on ANY open water.

I agree wholeheartedley...the freedom of taking the helm and heading out into open water is unparralleled in modern society.

Photos are required too, we need to see this Islander(my favorite boat too, I just don't own one yet).

and you've just described why i especially love heading out into the Sea of Cortez from Mexico....complete freedom (coupled with complete responsibility for getting yourself back alive....no CG to post small craft warnings, order you back in or inspect your boat for safety gear). but that moment when you transit the mouth of the harbor and push the throttle forward is sheer magic anywhere........
