Fill plug o-ring

I own an OMC Cobra 3.0. The o-ring that goes on the fill plug is damaged, so it's leaking gear oil. Can I make one out of gasket material or do I have to search high & low for a new one? Any suggestions on what to do? Thanx.

napa auto can get it and its the same oring OMC outboards used on the fill and the vent plugs.<br /> the top plug oring on a cobra is different best I remember.
