Ficht sparkplug indexing?

Does anyone know anything about indexing sparkplugs on Ficht motors? A mechanic told me that the electrode must be facing the proper direction within the cylinder or damage to the cylinder could result. Thanks........

John,<br /><br />Your mechanic is somewhat correct. Although I don't believe it can cause damage, the engine certainly runs much better when the plugs are indexed correctly. John, I think what he may mean is that combustion is probably cleaner when they are installed in the most efficient position. These motors are notorious for carbon problems as it is. I need everything going for me I can get.
