I rebuilt my 2001 200HP FICHT completely. New pistons, bearings, etc. I had a ring get stuck..broke.. scored a cylinder. That's why I rebuilt it. Anyway... I would REALLY like to understand something here... I know if the oil lift pump stops working I'll get a warning... if I run out of oil I'll get a warning. BUT what would happen if the oil injector / manifold assembly goes bad?? That's the final component that delivers the oil right? Unless I'm not understanding the system seems like you would not know if that was defective until your engine is destroyed.. am I wrong about this? I am temped to buy a NIB oil injector if that's the case to protect my rebuild investment. Greatly appreciate any insights here.

If pressures drops you will get a warning as there is a sensor on manifold .

No its sensor on manifold...trips the 32 code-no oil pulse,#33-no oil,#35 oil pressure, #38-oil prime and if EMM has later software maybe the #34 injector pump circuit.
