FICHT EMM Connectivity

I am unable to connect to my 2001,175hp Evinrude for diagnostics using a serial port cable. Everything appears in order but the program will not go beyond the point where it tells me it isn't connected. I have checked everything but not getting anywhere. Using the latest software. Thanks for any suggestions.

yeah me too. I have a cable and software purchased from yanick bouchard on the internet. I am using an old IBM thinkpad and get to page 11 in the version 1.42 user guide (screen dhc7385) I've tried all kinds of comm port settings and am getting nowhere. let me know if you get some help

i got mine to work by booting my laptop with a 10yr old dos disk and then running emmdiag from the floppy disk.

A friend gave me an old laptop running W95 on a 486. I installed the program to the hard drive and launched from a DOS prompt. It hooked right up first time. I also got mine from Yannick. Good service there I might add.
