I have a 2001 Evinrude Model number E200FPXSSH, S/N 4859974, EMM s/n 5014889 that was given to us.
After a season of hard use I changed the plugs to NGK's by a cross-reference number because the West Marine had no CHampion ( I know better now!)
After about 3-4 hours of use it started tripping codes 81 thru 86. It wasn't really running that great either.
I, of course, have change back to the proper Champion plugs. The indexing is perfect. The motor runs great!
But the 81 thru 86 codes keep tripping at around 1600-1800 rpms. I have manually cleared them multiple times and cleared them with the e-diag software version 4.5. multiple times.
Again the engine runs great. It simply alarms and trips the 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, and 86 codes. not in order of course. The order is never the same.
Did the NGK change the setting in the EMM somehow? Does the EMM need some kind of reset?
