fichr flushing?

can i flush my 1999 90 hp ficht with water from ear muffs? or will that burn up my impeller, because i tried it like that and ran the mottor and after like 3 mins watewr still didnt come out of the motor pee hole and just a little smoke started comeing out of the pee hole, also, can i run the motor out of the water if i have the hose heeoked up to the main flush port on the back of the motor? do you think i burned up my impeller using the muffs? hope not!

using muffs is ok just make sure water pick up is completly covered by muff.i don't know why water would not come out of pee hole, it may be plugged.<br />i think you can run motor with hose on main flush port but i've never done that so i'am not sure
