First I would like to thank you guys for all your help, I bought my first boat last year and have been able to make all my repairs through you guys...saved money!!!<br />Anyway to the point, I have a 17' Chriscraft V-hull. I want to paint it camo, a Advantage wetlands pattern. Anyway I have been doing research about painting fiberglass hulls and they seem to be a pain in the A#@ for the first timer. I am wondering if there is any type of spray paint that I can paint on right now to camo it without spending a lot. Or what process can I use that would be easy. I know you need the gel coat to seal the fiberglass but is there any paint that will stick to the gel coat, therefore I wouldn't have to remove it. Thanks as always, Andrew

The guys around here just use Wal-Mart rattle can paint on old 60s glass boats. You don't really need to paint below the waterline, so you can run the camo pattern to a few inches below waterline when the boat is at rest. When moving, the boat will be on plane so the paint will be unaffected. Get a scratch, just shoot a little more on. It doesn't have to be more complicated, its just a camo job. Good luck....
