Anywhere there is water....

But seriously, it will depend on what you're targeting. The bay (Tampa Bay) is awesome for almost everything. Can you be a little more specific about what area you want to be in? Also check some of the FL specific forums.

Florida must be one of, if not the best state for good fishing, fresh and salt water. I'm pretty sure any lake, pond, or river would be good, and salt or brackish possibilities are endless. I've heard the Florida strain largemouths grow quickly, and large because of the minerals in the water? and the mild weather.

Thanks for the input...I go all around the Tampa Bay area...just lookin for a new/different spot that I may not know about....do a good amount of snook and tarpon fishing....sometimes just like goin out with my son and catchin a few 5 or 6' sharks for kicks...
Don't do a lot of fresh water fishing but would like to get back into that. I 3 or 4lb bass just doesn't seem the same anymore after catching a few 70 or 80lb tarpons though...LOL
Thanks again for the input

Understand, boatman...I personally have no problem going from a Penn 80 after Marlin one day and a cane pole for panfish the next.

I used to fish the Manatee River near Bradenton a few years ago. Where are you catching the Tarpon at?
