I have a '73 20HP Fastwin, I had a over heating problem that was caused by a failed stat I have replaced that and the head gasket that it also killed, and it all runs fine.

I get a small amount of water out of the blow hole (where sme exhaust comes out of) and when the engine is warm I get more water out of there I know this is normal. I am wondering is there some kind of tale tale water hole on the engine?

I know some engines have a hole in the block where water comes from at all times.

I ask this as the engine was silted up as its been run in the sea quite allot before I got it. The impellor is good and it is p[umping I am wondering if something is blocked inside or maybe there isnt a hole.

No tell tale on your engine John....they (OMC) didn't start the tell tale till around 77'. All you have is the exhaust relief ports.....what you call "blow holes".
