faster????

I'm debating on getting either a 1548 or a 1542 war eagle. Does anybody know which will have a faster top end speed?

Hobson's choice. The narrower boat will be a little faster, but they'll run about the same. I'd opt for the wider boat.

wider boat will be more stable, expecially when stopped.

The difference in speed will be of little importance (unless you plan on racing), go wider, I have never wanted or needed a narrower small boat.
