Fast start mode

How do I know if my 1981 Johnson 70hp (J70ELCIM) has a fast start mode?

It has the lever on the remote control that pushes the throttle forward but how would I know if it electronically controls the timing on a cold start based off engine temp?

I don't think quick start was invented by then hence the lever (mechanical advance), I believe 88 was the first year.

Quick Start and Slow didn't come out until 1988 and it was only on the V-6 & V-4 loopers. Your mtr doesn't have it. Your lever is your QS.

Thanks guys I know it was a stupid question but I know if you don't know about something ask cause in all reality no question is a stupid one. I know nothing really about marine engines. This website has been awesome so far I give it five stars.
