fast idle arm

1999 bf50<br />the fast idle arm on my Honda will not stay up.<br />on a cold start it will for a while at maximum rpm's<br />then when i back it down, it drops completely<br />almost seems spring loaded.<br /><br />is there a tension adjustment on the control box ?

Your control box look like this? Part #26 is a choke return spring.

greetings All Thumbs,<br /><br />Can the idle speed adjustment and neutral selection adjustment both be done from within the speed control assembly like in the picture you posted? I have a problem with my Bf225 motor idling at about 2k and problems getting the selector into neutral.

Hi mitch, I don't know the answer to that one, i would say check honda manual.I have a seloc that shows the assembly but dosen't go into any kind of adjustments.. I had a problem with my selector loosening up and tore it down to get to the bolt and put some lock tite on it, no problem since.
