I am so agrvated right now, I had to return my first prop due to fitment. I then ordered an exact size replacement, it didnt clear the trim anode. So I ordered the offset one and now I have this issue.....

Old prop

The new prop came with a new castle washer, it will not make contact with the splines on the prop shaft. The old castle washer does, but maybe 1/8 of an inch (thats being generous). Can I use the old one, will the lack of spline contact cause issues? I cannot even find a different depth washer, and i am so annoyed because I have not been able to use the boat for a month and we have an overnight sitter tomorrow.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Either washer will work. The washer doesn't necessairly have to make contact with the splines. It's basically a spacer, it does not hold the prop in place. The splines in the prop hub hold the prop in place. Use either one and go boating.
