Working on a farm out of high school, I can attest to the fact that it is VERY hard work and If forced to do it today, I dont know if I could.

Yep, it'll go right back to the supply/demand/price formula that's always driven the markets, produce included. No telling how much a pound of tomatoes will cost in a year or so?
