Well Its going to be a couple weeks till my new engine is rebuilt I've just been out running the engine on muffs for the last hour still trying to find the knock with a stethoscope and you just reading for the first time I thought the knock was a lifter, Adjusting the lifters on number 8 I could back the intake off till it started tapping. tighten till it quit and would just start my quarter turn more and the engine would knock, Back it off it would quit. Pulled the plug on 8 just now and the knock was constant light but constant. put the wire on nothing till about 2 grand, and a knock rattle on rev. The only place I could here a knock was just above the coupler on the engine plate. and I had to be at least 2000 rpm to hear it. I was just wanting to put up the river tonight for the weekend is why I"m messing with it now. Any advise?
