Best fall color I've seen since living here. For the first time since moving here we haven't had a heavy rain, hight wind, or sleet to knock all the leaves off of everything and the colors are nothing short of amazing.

From my front yard:

Re: Fall color

Ayuh,.... Beautiful view Bubba,....

We've had a Great year for the fall colors, even With the bad rains, 'n winds...

Many of the trees, this year, changed in layers, prolongin' the color season by atleast a Week, maybe 2, of the Beautiful colors...

We're not quite to the dullness of winter grey just yet, but danm close to it...

Re: Fall color

Well sadly...... :( Hurricane Irene did a number on the trees and soil. Something about 11" of rain in a few hours hurt the maple trees and we did not have the brilliant reds this year.

Actually it's "gone by" and the state has transformed into two tone already. We are now brown and white.

Here is a shot from a previous year of my home.....

Re: Fall color

On Long Island the fall color is two inches of white today. Fifty knot gusts last night stripped whatever color was aloft. Sun is out now replacing my shovel.

Re: Fall color

We finished up the summer too dry and the colors are pretty subdued this year. Thanks for posting - nice to see someone else is getting the pretty stuff. Please send it back to TN when you're done this year.
