Vent.... rant... or something, somewhere along those lines...

I'm in some really good FB boat and motor groups that give me chances to help others as well as learn from others. Lots of pics and instant gratification for most but that's where the shine goes off for me. Some groups have strict admin and ban the riff raff who violate the rules but others are left to the members to be somewhat polite but nowadays some have less than adequate social media communication skills.

Garbage info rules the day mixed in with 100% good info and arguments ensue daily that at times descend into name calling and victim status being gasped for by the offender when the disagreement turns from their favor.

Makes me appreciate our forum here that much more and the work the mods have done over the years to keep the less than helpful hothead members in check by enforcing the rules. I've decided to leave those FB groups that allow the etiquette norms and rules to be violated.

To me FB and Twitter are a waste of finger tapping. Call me old school. :D

Yeah I agree but the Starcraft Aluminum boat group if populated by iboats forum members including the group owner. Lots of new SC boat owners show up there all wanting good info and they are directed here more often than not.

I almost joined the WBM forum until I spent some time lurking in the Bilge ...I couldn’t see myself fitting in very well .
Pointless arguments for the most part ... Who wants to spend valuable time just being peed off at each other .
‘I don’t do the FB Twitter stuff .
