Seems like I heard that Yamaha was recommending that these motors
not be used for extended slow speed trolling. Can't remember where
or who said it or what the problem was.

Does this make sense to anyone or should these motors be as
good as any for trolling?

The only problem I know of is the oil injectors not supplying enough oil mix, or overheating. A good temp guage should help. The other problem is that they may not troll very slow. :D

Are you talking about the Yamaha 4-stroke or 2-stroke? I have Yamaha 4-stroke 100-HP and I am doing a lot of trolling. It works very well on trolling and the cost of fuel was half of my 2-stroke engine.
Hoa
