F150 Valve Tap

Smack dab in the middle of striper season valves were tapping when started this AM . Ran fine yesterday . Added non-shock dose of ring free additive this tank , has about 15 gallons used up . I'm suspecting this is the problem . Did not overheat , oil looked unusually dirty .
Any thoughts ? Am not a mechanic , pulled it and dropped off at the dealer . 2007 F150 with 160 hours on it , all maintenance on schedule . Thanks , Larry

I would suspect either a clogged filter or other fuel restriction or an air leak on the suction side of the fuel system.
will make the fuel pumps sound just like a collapsed lifter in an old chevy.
