Had to have a F150 (2006) repaired after small particles of aluminum oxide (from a broken external fuel filter) went through the fuel system. This required new injectors and the VST filter and fuel system to be cleaned flushed - an expensive mistake.
Unfortunately in trying to locate the problem I think the TPS was recalibrated. The symptom is the engine idles 1000rpm until put in and taken out of gear when it drops to correct value of 700rpm (I assume it?s then corrected). Does anybody know the correct voltage on the pot of idle and full throttle and how to set this up if it?s wrong. It?s quite a specialized thing.
