Is it possible to add a manual oil pressure guage and water temp guage to a 2001 F115 4 stroke Yamaha? If yes where are the ports located for the sending units?<br />I do noy want to bypass the electronic alarms.

Re: F115 Yamaha Adding Manual Gauges

yes! you can. I'm in the process of doing the same, sometimes I get an oil pressure alarm, but it goes away after several shutdows, I put a direct gauge on the engine and the pressure is godd about 60 PSI, so it's the electronic monitoring systems that sometimes gives me an erroneous indication, I checked the oil pressure sending unit and it's working properly, I just don't like dummy lights. If you are looking at your f115 from inside your boat, the oil pressure sensor sits behind the intake manifold just below the flywheel, a little towards the front of the engine, all you have to do is get a "T" fitting being a male and two females this way you can keep your original sensor but have a gauge that you can rely on and see the direct oil pressure, you may have to do some research as what size sending unit to buy, there is very little room to adapt it, but it can be done. the rest is just a single wirw to your gauge and the wiring instructions that comes with your gauge and sending unit.
good luck
