I REALLY need some guidance. Ihave a 2004 F115hp. The issues started 1 year ago. It started running rough. After running it half day on the water at half throttle the engine seemed to be fine again. It become worst so it won't start now. If it starts ( I managed to start it yesterday I don't know how) it idles rough and dies soon after at idle. It doesn't die if I increase rpm. I have have been using ethanol gas with stabilizer. (I know! I won't do it again) I haven't used the boat regularly.
- I have replaced fuel line going from the tank to the main fuel filter. (I haven't replaced the main filter yet. (Maybe today)
- I have cleaned and replaced fuel filter in the engine.
- I have replaced low pressure pump half a year ago. I checked it. It pumps when I try to start the engine. It pushes fuel when fuel line is removed.
- Fuel seems to flow without any problem to the engine and to the VST filter. I have primed it.
- I have checked fuel pressure with a gauge on the top of the fuel injection rail - 40PSI. It should be fine.
- I have checked spark with spark plug tester. There is spark. Fine.
- Handpump is rock hard.
- When I managed to start I try to disconnect the injectors one by one. It didn't seem to make any difference. I couldn't point to any cylinder... It runs so rough so any of them could be the problem...
What is next????
Any advice you can give me? I ordered cheap amazing fuel injectors compatible with a 2004 F115. I didn't want to order the genuine ones because of cost. First I want to test and find out if the injectors are the problem. Thanks! I'm desperate to get this engine fixed and boat back in the water. My 2 daughters are kiloing me. The summer break is here....!
THANKS SO MUCH!
