I have a 2005 Mercury FourStroke AKA Yamaha F115. It will not start after it has been run hard. I have seen others here with the same hot start issue and a plausible explanation of an excessively rich condition caused but the VST's vapor line connection to the intake.
I can always get the engine started by advancing the throttle, but I don'd want my wife and kids to have to do that. I have seen mention of a vapor shutoff and recovery kit available, does anyone have a part number? Is it safe to just disconnect the line to the intake?

Rodbolt seemed to have figured this one out, but I guess he does not post here anymore.

You need a parts Manuel or a service manual , so when something breaks, and you need a part, you can order it, Why don't you want your wife and kids to advance the throttle is it dangerous, I wouldn't disconnect anything, or the line to the intake.
