Just purchased a new boat and trailer. 20' Wooldridge inboard jet with a dual axle EZ Loader trailer with hydraulic brakes. First trip out of the dealer, the surge brakes failed. I drive a pretty big truck so we went ahead and launched.

Found that one of the brake lines linking the two axles was damaged in shipping. Dealer fixed me up with a braided steel line between the two, but suffice it to say I was not impressed with a brake system consisting of rubber hoses held in place with Zip Ties...

Being the crank that I am, I sent a somewhat civil message to the EZ loader web e-mail address giving my opinion of an expensive trailer relying on rubber hoses and zip ties and began to measure the existing system intending on replacing the hose system with steel lines and clamps.

I was surprised to recieve a return e-mail the next morning from EZ Loader and a phone call the next day from one of their reps on the west coast. He asked for my address and (without any prompting from me) told me that a steel replacement system would be here within a week. I was so surprised at this level of customer service that I don't know if I thanked him. Guess I better send another e-mail.

Re: EZ Loader trailers

I really wanted a galv. trailer when I got my boat...I could email them and say I can't believe anybody would sell a painted steel trailer in this day & time. Maybe they'll send me a new galv. trailer in the mail!!!

Ha, just kidding with ya. Glad they took care of you so quickly. Really, I've been happy with my EZ Loader but do wish it was galv. I've not really noticed whether mine are rubber or steel. Maybe EZ Loader makes them to the boat mfr. specs?
