If the boat i want is always shown in the showroom floor with a 2stroke carbed motor, and i want the boat rigged with a 4 stroke motor instead, is it standard for the dealer to charge me extra to change the motor out with a 4 stroke (besides the extra cost of the motor itself)?

if he is taking a motor off a showroom boat, and installing the 4 stroke, yes. if you order from the factory, a 4 stroke combo, no.

Rerigging costs the dealer a bunch, but if it is a matter of selling or not selling the boat he may become more flexible.

I have had dealers bundle the cost of rerigging a boat to my choice of engines into the price.

Well, ordering it may not be that big of a deal anyways cause im going to up the trolling motor power and i want a bigger fish finder than what comes on the boat. Are we talking like $500 or more for a motor change?
