Extra prop

I'm looking to buy an "extra" prop. I don't want to spend anymore money than I have to, as I'm only going to carry it in the boat in case that black cloud that follows me through life decides to drop on me and I tear up a prop a ways from the launch! Any brand or business you'd reccomend? I have a 2002 Merc 60HP 4-stroke.<br /><br />THANKS!!!

I prefer stainless steel but aluminum props are available for much less!<br /><br />There are many good brands out there. My favorite are Michigan Wheel (miwheel.com) but they likely don't have the prices you are looking for.<br /><br />After Michigan I would go with Turning Point...yes there are many others too.<br /><br />This one could work for you as it is priced under $100. LOL, while the garage sale price is great, I don't seem to have that kind of luck! LOL<br /><br />I guess I have a 15" Pitch?? If so, but I could find a good deal on a 13" and it was going to be used for an "emergency" prop, would that be OK? <br /><br />Not knowing to much about this, I suspect a lower pitch will equal more RPM???<br /><br />I ask the experts, am I O.K. with this?<br /><br />THANKS!

If you are looking for a cheap back up prop who cares what pitch/dia it is as long as it get's you home??. Alum yes, but check out the fiber comp-props new. Their cheap and light and won't be eating holes thru the compartment where you store them...
