so i'm gonna try treadin on thin ice this fall. so i think........hoping for them 70* days that have freezeing nights inbetween.....then winterize before it snows.......like i say, so my plan goes........
my first question is how soon after a run can i drain the block and manifold? do i need to let it cool way down or is warm ok? like i'm goin out thursday i hope and temps will be close to freezein that night so i'll want to drain soon after i get home....maybe an hour passing between leaveing the lake and doin the deed.... i also usually run hose water thru it after i get home too. i'd guess that the t-stat is open, close to operating temp even after the flush.....
another question i wonder about. is does it damage my circualation pump to run it dry? as it is dry after draining. for a moment till the impeller puts enough into the engine for it to start circulating...
