Minimum GPS/chartplotter and a reliable depth finder. Nice to have, radar & AIS (especially where the larger commercial traffic is, they can see you better if you are transmitting via AIS).

2 one sentence posts in 13 years, interesting. Anyway I mean no offense but if you have or are getting a 35’ boat (that’s a darn big boat) and don’t know what electronics you should have then you need to go back to square one and take some basic boating classes, basic Navigation classes, basic safety classes etc. before you set foot on that boat and drive it. A 35’ boat will likely have a full array of electronics already. If you don’t even know what you need that tells me you wouldnt know how to use them if you had them. Good luck
