Howdy all,

Can anyone tell me how these exhaust tips from Corsa (or similar tips) sound compared to regular (straight) thru-hull exhaust when run on a 454/Bravo? Do they really reduce the noise output significantly?

Thanks,

Rick

Re: Exhaust tip mufflers

I've heard/seen these on some very high horsepower combos, 454's and up. They definitely knock the harsh edge off and quiet them down. There has been enforcement on Lake Havasu, and these fix it. They still have a decent throaty sound, just softened. I have a 6.2 thru transom that has nothing and it is barely legal. These tips bring even 525 - 600+ HP down below that.

Re: Exhaust tip mufflers

Thanks,

I know the boat cops on Havasu take no prisoners.....

I had thru hulls with Capts Call on my Liberator when I had the 460King Kobra installed and it was flat awful!

There's a bunch of these Corsa tips for sale on Ebay and I am tempted. I am not very tempted by the price though..

The ones in that picture are something like $900 and that's supposed to be a "liquidation" price

Try Eddie Marine for some low cost alternatives . . . I can't vouch for their effectiveness, but those you posted work very well.
