I have a 327 Chris Craft inboard engine in my boat which I have just installed a Mercruiser cooling system on. I have run 3" hose from the risers to the pipes which are currently 2-1/2". I have new 3" outlets and am planning on running new 3" tube from the hose to the tips. My question is with material, I can go aluminum or stainless, the aluminum is about 1/3 the cost. My boat is a trailer queen and is only used in fresh water, about every other year it will spend a week in the water and overall it does not see a whole lot of use. I'd like to hear some thoughts on aluminum vs stainless for the tubing.
