I'm in the process of replacing my old log manifolds with center
risers. I was wondering if any of you have done this before and
would like to take a few pics and send them to me. I have a chevy
350 with a high profile stringer. If you have the same I would
really appreciate it if you could comment or send pics. My problem
is trying to get the exhaust hosings correct.

Vince

Re: exhaust help

Just curious as to why you want to modify? I believe center risers are less expensive than log manifolds...

Walt

Re: exhaust help

Well Walt,
I've gotten a price of 500.00 for log manifolds per side not including elbows. The set up I have now has no rise to them and thought that a riser would prevent any water coming back up the exhaust. The Pacific ocean can be unpredictable and we have plenty of yahoos out here flying by your boat while anchored. Seeing that my wife works at BoatUs I picked up the center risers, manifolds and thermostat housing for 500.00 The O/D is a OMC high profile stringer 1970. My only problem is the exhaust hosing placement.

Thanks,
Vince
