Exhaust/Fumes Ducting

I recently bought an 04 Bayliner 175 with the Mercruiser 3.0 engine. The boats runs fine but it looks like a family of mice nested in the bilge area and while at it, chewed the 2 white pieces of ducting on each side of the engine that leads to the hull of the boat. I assume this is for the blower to exhaust fumes in and around the engine. I have check the Bayliner parts manual and also the Mercruiser parts manual and can't find anything. The ducting looks like a household clothes dryer vent, but maybe smaller in diameter. Can anyone provide info on where to buy replacements or part numbers?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Although there probably is some difference, I've used regular old dryer vent hose in numerous boats without issue. Yeah, the marine one MIGHT be more flame resistant, but if I have enough fire in the engine compartment to worry if my vent hose is burning or not, I have other issues. (could be wrong, the dryer vent hose might actually be more flame resistant considering its intended use...)

dryer vent is not chemical resistant like the proper vent hose. however both should work. bilge vent hose is cheaper and comes in longer runs than dryer vent hose, and amazon brings it to my house. Most dryer vent hose is aluminum for the high temp

Would anyone know the diameter, 3" or 4"? The boat is off site in storage and I'd like to get it ordered. My gut tells me it looks like 3" but I'd like to be sure. Thanks again.

for that, you have to put eyeballs and a tape measure on your particular boat.

the problem is items like vent hoses are not documented. they could use 3" one week and 4" the next week.

For the sizing you might try looking at their website and seeing if they list what blower they used. I did that with my Stingray on their website.
