Exhaust Bellows with or without holes?

Ordered a transom service kit, new exhaust bellows has holes at the bottom, seemed to be no big deal but now it appears the boat is louder. Does it matter that the bellows has holes or not? The old one had no holes and therefore the exhaust went out the prop as designed. Thanks

When asking ???? more info please.Motor/drive/model.The holes facilitate drainage. It might make it louder on land but won't hurt anything. Make sure it is fitting right. Jerry
