excessive condensation in valve covers

I have twin 4.3 vortecs 2 years old. After a year and half one engine started getting excessive condensation in the valve covers and breather hoses. Removed heads, intake exhaust manifolds and risers and had them all checked for cracks. All checked out good. Put back togehter and insalled new manifold and risers and still have the same problem. No water in crankcase yet it just shows up in valve covers. Cleanned out several times and after running boat for a hour or so it is all back in the covers again. I thought it would burn off as motor heats up but it keeps building up. Any one out there had this problem ????? Could it be a cracked block????

Re: excessive condensation in valve covers

A couple of quick tests.
Pull the plugs and check for one whiter than the rest, sign of moisture .Pull the valve covers and with a hammer and drift ,tap the valves looking for a soft one. You`ll probably find a broken valve spring on a exaust valve.

was the engine compression tested? Moisture is a component of combustion. Blowby makes a moist crankcase.

Re: excessive condensation in valve covers

Compression test was done before disassembling the top of the motor, all cyliders 210-195. After reassembly did not check compression but ran boat and motor ran good up to 4500 rpm no stumbling or back firing ran strong but still had the condensation in the valve covers . Ran for over and hour and cleaned the oil fill cap several times but milky cream keeps showing up.

Hey 270Searay, I have a Regal with the same engines, same problem! Have you had any luck with a solution? I'm baffled. Engine not getting up to running temp.
