ex-el Has anyone ever heard of it

I just bought a used boat with a 1964 Mercury 65HP 650 motor on it and the boat is a really nice 15.5 footer and all that it says on it on one side is ex-el. It looks much newer than the mother but I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere. Does anyone know more about this make.<br />Thanks

Never heard of them (not to say they don't exist ). Could it be Excel? They make a sporty looking boat. I think Wellcraft makes an Excel model too.

I guess I should have said newer than the Motor not mother. It says on the serial tag MOT238 and then the rest of the numbers also it says INT Fibreglass Explorer <br />Thanks for the replies and help everyone.
