Looks like a step in the right direction. Eventually petrol costs will severely curb pleasure boating. The challenge is the same as EV cars face. Battery life. The Tesla S currently has the largest battery. 100 kWH. So this thing would run on one between 30 min and one hr before you had to troll back to the charging station. Hopefully the gas dock installed a Tesla V3 charging station, and has a bar close by. It will take some time to charge back up.

EV cars use a small amount of power cruising on the highway. 15-20 hp. Boats use much more to get up on a plane and stay there.

I would volunteer to test like aspeck, but I fear the battery pack would sink my boat if there was room for them.
