Judging by www.outboardparts.com 135hp was made from '73-'76.

Do you have the model number from the top of the engine block? I have a '72 Starflite 100 and the only way I figured out the year was by looking up the model number from the engine block.

That number series doesn't come up to any model/year combination. The top of my engine block (on the starboard side) has two sets of numbers etched in it: the first set is 100293R which is the one I used to find out it was a 1972 100 HP Starflite. The second set on mine is similar to what you posted, and I'm guessing that's the serial number.<br /><br />No luck finding any other numbers?

Your Johnson/Evinrude dealer can get you the year and model number from the serial number.

Bailey:<br /><br />In looking at a spark plug catalog, 135s are listed from 73-84, so it could be any year between those, but I think Starflites stopped in 76 or 77. If you can't find another number (the model/year number) then I would go with Moving Target's suggestion and check with a dealer.
