Evinrude serial numbers

I have an old Evinrude outboard motor but don't know the year it was manufactured.Can someone tell it's date by the serial number? The number is C7241669 and the model number is E8RCNR. The motor is a 7.5. Thank you.

McNips.. According to the model number you provided (E8RCNR), the CN in the number designates that engine as model year 1982...
